Natalie, This same exact thing happened to us with Andrea. Our wedding was the weekend before yours. If you would like to connect, we are starting the process of a civil suit to at least get our photos.

It truly saddens me to write this review, but I feel it’s important for anyone considering hiring Andrea as their photographer for significant life events. My husband and I hired Andrea on September 6, 2023, for a bridal shoot scheduled for October 19, 2024. It is now November 19, 2024 (the date I should have received the photos per our contract), and despite our numerous attempts to contact her, we have not received our photos, a response, or a refund. This experience has left us deeply disappointed and frustrated, and we hope this review encourages better practices moving forward.
Here’s a detailed account of what happened:
Andrea was referred to me by a trusted colleague who had beautiful bridal photos taken by her. Based on that, my husband and I were thrilled to work with her and capture intimate, candid, and artistic shots for this special milestone. Leading up to our shoot, Andrea was very responsive on Instagram, and we even scheduled a call to discuss ideas. Her enthusiasm and vision mirrored ours, which only heightened our excitement.
On the day of the shoot, October 19, 2024, we met Andrea at Legion of Honor at 11:00 AM. Unfortunately, she arrived with her camera at only 20% battery and without any extra batteries. While this was concerning, my husband and I were understanding, recognizing that mistakes happen, and did our best to keep the atmosphere positive. Fortunately, her camera had just enough battery life to capture all the photos we had planned. We left the shoot eagerly anticipating the final results.
After the shoot, however, communication broke down completely. I followed up on October 21, 2024, via Instagram—where most of our communication had occurred—but my message was left unread. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, I waited a few more days before texting her on October 28, 2024, only to receive no response. Meanwhile, Andrea continued posting actively on her Instagram stories, which felt disrespectful given her silence toward us. On November 7, 2024, my husband called and left a voicemail, expressing our concern and asking for an update. Again, we heard nothing.
I reached out one final time on November 12, 2024, through both Instagram and phone calls, but by then, her phone was going straight to voicemail. At this point, we also asked my colleague to reach out, but they, too, received no response.
I’m unsure of what went wrong—whether the photos were lost or something else happened—but the lack of communication and accountability is deeply disappointing. Andrea’s work is undeniably beautiful, which is why we chose her in the first place. However, trust and communication are essential in any business, particularly for once-in-a-lifetime events like this. Ghosting a client after they have fully paid and entrusted you with such an important milestone is unacceptable.
We have yet to receive our photos or a refund and are now exploring further action. Andrea, if you plan to continue your photography business, I hope you take this as a serious lesson. Be honest and communicative with your clients, especially when issues arise. Your customers depend on you to preserve some of the most meaningful moments of their lives, and that trust should never be taken for granted.
